"Filming a scene that involves being entirely naked and takes a couple of days can be a little awkward," says the 32-year-old. "Thankfully you're doing it for so long that you dispense with the awkwardness pretty quickly and start to have mundane, normal conversations. The difference being you're not wearing pants."
In the film Ryan and Sandra play co-workers who end up falling in love after Sandra's Canadian character forces Ryan's on screen persona to marry her so she can avoid deportation.
The film's director Anne Fletcher says the nude scene in the movie was great fun to film. "We had a great time doing it. It was the only scene that I ended up rehearsing because I really wanted to shoot them completely naked," she says. "We had so much fun laughing at the possibilities of what we could get away with."
Ryan's female fans will no doubt appreciate the opportunity to check out their hero's buff bod in the new film which opens in the UK on July 22. But the actor, who also flashes his muscles in X-Men Origins: Wolverine has an admission to make. "I don't really think of myself in any particular way, shape or form that involves being known as sexy," insists the Vancouver native.
