Farrah Fawcett - a life remembered
Farrah Fawcett has passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 62, her spokesperson has confirmed.
She died at 9.29 am at St John's Health Centre in Santa Monica with her companion Ryan O'Neal and actress friend Alana Stewart by her side.
"She's gone. She now belongs to the ages," said her long-term love, Ryan. "She's now with her mother and sister and her God."
"I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."
The screen star, best known for her role in Charlie's Angels, had been battling cancer, a fight she documented in a TV series, Farrah's Story, earlier this year. She was first diagnosed with the disease in 2006.
Earlier this week her long term love, with whom she had a son - 24-year-old Redmond - had revealed the couple's plans to finally tie the knot. Farrah and the 68-year-old actor had been together since 1980.
