With a guest list of just 50, only their nearest and dearest were on hand to witness Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W S Anderson set the seal on their seven-year love story.

For their intimate nuptials in the back garden of their Los Angeles home, the bride wore a floaty Sixties-inspired Grecian dress she designed herself.

Red and white flowers adorned her hair, which had been styled into long, loose curls and she completed the romantic hippy look with a short veil. Meanwhile, Ever Gabo, the couple's 20-month-daughter, acted as a flower girl.

Her parents exchanged classic gold wedding bands designed by jeweller to the stars Neil Lane.

"They're a super duper couple," he told People magazine. "They clearly adore each other." Guests including Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey were treated to a Latin-themed reception. A Spanish flamenco guitarist and vocalist sang as invitees sipped drinks, while a Cuban band played after the ceremony.

The pair have been dating since meeting on the set of sci-fi horror film Resident Evil in 2002. Earlier this year Milla spoke to a British magazine about what Paul means to her. "My dad was a playboy, so I've made sure I stay away from bad boys," she explained. "In the end, I went for the man who would take care of me and my family. Paul is an incredible dad to our daughter, Ever, he's not crazy or wild. What could be better? "I have a talented, handsome, successful husband who adores me."
