Surely life doesn't get much better than this?

That's what Elisabetta Canalis must have been thinking as she sped along Venice's waterways with the world's most desirable bachelor bound for a movie festival.

The lovely brunette, already famous in her native Italy as a presenter, is now known across the world as George Clooney's lady.

He's in the city to promote his new film Men Who Stare At Goats.

Since Gorgeous George and his bella signora have been inseparable for the entire summer she went along too.

There have been boat rides and trips on the movie star's motorcycle near his Lake Como retreat.

Signalling that she's become a fixture in his life, he's also been introducing her to friends.

The couple enjoyed a double date with Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, and are likely to catch up with Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, also in the Italian city for a premiere.

There has been one little fly in the ointment for the pair. George arrived with a bandage on his hand after slamming his hand in a car door.

Coincidentally, the last time we saw the 48–year-old so wrapped up in a lady, he was also sporting an injury.

Then, he and his ex, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson braved the red carpet in bandages following a motorbike crash.
