Sarah Jessica Parker. How do A-list actresses so effortlessly seem to juggle their film career with being a mum? Not without a lot of hard work, says
The new mum says she has “enormous regrets” about signing up for the second Sex And The City film as it has limited the amount of time she’s been able to spend with her five-month-old baby twins Tabitha and Marion.
With filming for the sequel recently taking the actress to Morocco, she’s found it hard to balance work and home life with husband Matthew Broderick, their new twins and their seven-year-old son, James Wilkie.
“It is the eternal conflict of every working woman,” she told Glamour magazine.
“The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I’m at work. But it is hard.”
Sarah’s little girls were born in June to a surrogate mother, but the 44-year-old actress began filming SATC 2 just ten weeks later.
“It's been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about,” she said.
Sarah, who comes from a modest Ohio background, also expressed that she wanted her children to have as normal an upbringing as possible.
"I don't want my children to feel they have a sense of entitlement.
"I want them to work hard and be challenged. That's hard to do when you have everything you need and want, so I am working on those values all the time."
Due out next year, the Sex And The City sequel promises to be very different from the previous film.
