Proud mum-to-be Halle Berry, 46, cradled her baby bump after revealing she is expecting her second child. The actress was glowing as she attended the Argentinian premiere of her latest film The Call on Monday evening.
Her mauve gown clung to her curves and clearly displayed the star's burgeoning tummy. The dress also provided a heady dose of glamour with its thigh-baring split and asymmetric jewelled strap.
Fans learned that the Oscar winner was expecting her second child with boyfriend Olivier Martinez last week. The baby will be a sibling to Halle's daughter Nahla, five, whose father is Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.
Halle confessed that getting pregnant "has been the biggest surprise" of her life. Talking to CNN about becoming a mother for the second time, the star said she felt "fantastic" and admitted that she didn't expect to fall pregnant at her age.
"This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."
The actress did not confirm whether she and Olivier were expecting a boy or a girl saying, "I don't know, I don't know. But (the baby is) healthy!".
Halle will lead an active pregnancy, continuing to promote her film and lend her profile to charitable causes. During her interview with CNN, Halle also spoke about her work with designer Michael Kors and the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP) to fight hunger.
Halle has co-designed two new versions of the designer's much-loved 'Runway' watch. Each watch sold will allow for 100 meals to be provided for hungry children through the WFP.
Both stars are planning to visit the destinations meals will be sent to, and they could land in Africa or Central America.
"I hope we go while I'm pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care," she said. "It's so important to me, being a mom, that I can help educate women on how important it is that when you have a healthy child, it helps set them up for life."
