Catherine Zeta-Jones made a glamorous return to the red carpet on Thursday at the premiere of her latest film, Red 2. The Welsh beauty stepped out for the first time since receiving treatment for her bipolar disorder in order to promote the action comedy.

The Chicago actress was joined at the premiere by her co-stars Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis, but appeared without her husband Michael Douglas, who has loyally supported her bipolar treatment. "She's doing a really good job of getting balanced," said Michael during an interview at the Cannes Film Festival in May. "I'm proud of her."
In April mum-of-two Catherine checked into rehab for the first time since her treatment in 2011. Friends of the star said that her 30 day visit was a convenient time for doctors to review her medication between her many work commitments.
"Catherine has proactively checked into a healthcare facility," said her representative to People magazine. "Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."
Given that her second stint of treatment is now over Catherine is now fully commited to promoting her latest silver screen venture which sees her take on the role of sexy spy, Miranda Wood.
Dame Helen Mirren wore an elegant, long-sleeved teal dress as she greeted fans with her husband, director Taylor Hackford. Bruce Willis, who plays retired CIA agent Frank Moses in Red 2, walked the red carpet with his wife Emma Heming. English model Emma offset Bruce's white suit in a chic little black dress and leopard print heels. Red 2 hits cinemas from 19 July.
