Angelina Jolie tops Hollywood's highest paid actress list
30 JULY 2013
She is the proud mother of six children, an Oscar winner, a humanitarian and now Angelina Jolie can add the accolade of being Hollywood’s highest paid actress of 2013 to her list of achievements.
Despite not having appeared on screen since The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp in 2010, the 38-year-old beauty earned $33million, $13million up on the previous year, revealed Forbes magazine.
The earnings are due largely to a $10m contract with fashion house Louis Vuitton and a $15m salary for her latest role as the titular evil stepmother in Disney's live action Sleeping Beauty reimagination Maleficent.

Angelina has been in the public eye in recent months following her preventive double mastectomy earlier this year. In a powerful article for the New York Times, the brunette actress revealed her brave decision to opt for surgery after learning that she has a faulty gene making her at high risk for breast or ovarian cancer.
"Her revelation sparked plenty of debate and showed again why Angelina is one of the most powerful women in Hollywood," Forbes said.
As a special envoy for the United Nations, the leading lady is known for using her celebrity status to make people aware of humanitarian issues. She paid a visit to Syrian refugees in a Jordanian military camp in June to raise the profile of the cause.
At just 22 and fresh from her Oscar-winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrencetook second place. However, most of her $26million earnings was for starring in the 2012 box office hit The Hunger Games.
"As Katniss, Lawrence has shown that action heroes don't always have to be played by men for a film to turn a profit," said the magazine.
One year her senior, Kristen Stewart , who amassed around $22million over the last year for her roles in the Twilight saga and Snow White and the Huntsman, is third on the list.
Jennifer Aniston takes fourth place banking $20million in earnings from 2012 while Emma Stone has risen to fifth place with $16million.
