In addition to Vanessa Feltz and Countdown cutie Rachel Riley, who were revealed last week, contestants will include model Abbey Clancy and golfing legend Tony Jacklin, who is swapping clubs for dance shoes aged 69.
Colourful TV personality Vanessa, 51, has already made it clear what kind of professional dancer she hopes to be paired with. Someone "virile but patient", was her response when the question was put to her.
It's been suggested that Abbey, 27, will relocate down south from her home in Cheshire to cut down on commuting time for rehearsals. Expect to see her husband Premiere League star Peter Crouch in the audience - at 6ft 7in he will be hard to miss.
Meanwhile, Rachel has already been getting some practice on the set of the quiz show as shown in a picture she posted. "I can't wait @BBCStrictly!" she tweeted. "Been getting tips from Strictly old boy @MarkFosterSwim this week, says I need more work!"
Susanna Reid is another TV presenter, whose fans can expect to see her sneakily practising steps under the table. The official Strictly account tweeted: "BREAKING NEWS: @susannareid100 joins Strictly: Let's get Reid-y to Rumba."
The popular 42-year-old BBC Breakfast anchor responded by posting a picture of herself dressed up for the show, saying she was "sequined up and and making a visit to Planet Strictly".
The ladies will get a run for their money in the glamour department from Bond girl Fiona Fullerton, who had a memorable role opposite Roger Moore as KGB operative Pola Ivanova, who frolicked with him in a hot tub.
A source told the Daily Mail: "Fiona brings some Hollywood glamour to this year’s line-up, and she still looks stunning. She is a very elegant mover."
More celebrities with an eye on the glitterball trophy will be revealed on Monday's episode of The One Show.
Strictly will premiere on September 7 at 6:50pm with a glittering Hollywood inspired red carpet event.
It will be the first test for the celebrities, who will be paired with their professional partners and then perform a group number.
The audience will also see the return of reigning champions Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace and performances by Jessie J and Rod Stewart.
