The 50 Shades of Grey casting announcement received a mixed reception from fans of the book. But author E L James is couldn't be happier with Dakota Johnson - the actress set to play her heroine Anastasia Steele.
Clearly, the pretty actress has won over the writer after they spent an afternoon together in New York. Author Erika posted a pic of her and Dakota and the upcoming film's producer Dana Brunetti on Twitter, dubbing the blonde star "beautiful, talented, funny".

It was revealed last week that Dakota – the 23-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Melanie Griffiths and Don Johnson – will star opposite British actor Charlie Hunnam in the big screen adaptions of the racy novels. He will take on the role of Christian Grey.
The 33-year-old star has said his mind was quickly made up about accepting the role once he met Dakota.
"As soon as we got in the room, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it," the star told reporters at the premiere of the sixth season of his show Sons of Anarchy.
"There's just a tangible chemistry between us. It felt exciting and fun and weird and compelling."
