Triumphant Rebecca Adlington earns ten stars in first Bush Tucker Trial

Rebecca Adlington was triumphant on Friday night when she finally undertook her first Bush Tucker Trial on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

The Olympic swimmer managed to earn the maximum ten stars and was "absolutely buzzing" as a result.

"It's like preparing for a race," said the 24-year-old, whose challenge was to detach stars in a water tank filled with lizards, crocodiles, eels and spiders. "I feel like I'm back in the Olympics."

"I feel pressure because it's my campmates who put me up," Rebecca told the show's presenters Ant and Dec. "But I will stay as calm as possible."

Mansfield-born Rebecca has previously come under fire for being exempt from taking part in Bush Tucker Trials due to an undisclosed medical condition.

Fans reaction angrily on Twitter, claiming that the swimmer shouldn't have gone on the show if she was unable to take part in the trials.

Rebecca's family reportedly issued a plea to the ITV show's producers to reveal Rebecca's condition so that viewers would understand why she couldn't take part.

Rumours began to circulate that Rebecca, who is engaged to long-term boyfriend Harry Needs, was pregnant - a claim her fiancé swiftly denied.

"I can honestly say hand on heart, she's not," Tweeted Harry. "Unless something went on in the jungle without me? #TeamAdlo."
