Sandra Bullock's space drama Gravity leads BAFTA nominations

Gravity, the space drama starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, leads the way at this year's Baftas with 11 nominations, including best film and best British film.

Leading lady Sandra has also been feted in the best actress category, while Alfonso Cuaron is up for best director.Steve McQueen's slavery drama 12 Years a Slave, meanwhile, received ten nods, including best film, director, and best actor for star Chiwetel Ejiofor.

American Hustle has been listed in ten categories, with recognition for Christian Bale and Amy Adams in the best actor and actress categories.

This year's nominations also saw Dame Judi Dench set a new BAFTA record, receiving her 15th acting nomination for her role in Philomena.

Winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on 16 February, hosted by Stephen Fry.
