Paul Walker's last film will be completed. Ever since the sudden death of the actor in November, there has been uncertainty surrounding the future of Fast & Furious 7 - but it is now being reported that shooting on the blockbuster will resume at the start of April.
Cast and crew members will be filming the finishing sequences of the action movie for around eight weeks, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Universal Pictures have confirmed that Paul will feature in the film when it hits screens next year.
"Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015," a statement said.
'Fast 7' was about halfway through filming when Paul tragically died in a car crash. It is now believed that his character, Brian O'Conner, will be 'retired' and not killed off.
At the time, a studio spokesperson said, "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers.
"At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."
Paul left behind his beloved 15-year-old daughter Meadow, to whom he left his entire $25 million fortune. Earlier this month, a judge in Santa Barbara appointed the actor's father, Paul Walker Sr, executor of his estate - as detailed in the star's will.
The document also detailed Paul's wish that his only child would be raised by his mother Cheryl Walker.
His entire family were in court - including Meadow's mother Rebecca Soteros, but a decision is still to be made as to who will be the teen's guardian. She is currently living with her grandmother.
Rebecca, who lives in Hawaii, is reportedly happy for the living arrangement to continue. Meadow relocated to California to be with her father in 2011, and wants to continue living there.
Her decision to move in had a profound impact of Paul.
"She's the best partner I've ever had," he told Entertainment Weekly last year. "I've never had anything like this in my life. I've been so transient; I've been on my own since I was 16. There's a part of me who feels like I am making up for lost time.
