Cheryl Cole is reportedly hoping to land close friend Kim Kardashian a spot on The X Factor UK.
The Girls Aloud singer has been trying to persuade head judge Simon Cowell to let Kim have a supporting role on the talent show, according to new reports. "Cheryl's been busy convincing Simon that while Kim isn't a singer, she'd be a great mentor because she knows how to handle fame," an insider told The Daily Star.

"The idea is that Kim would fly over and give special media training to the acts towards the end of the show. And obviously Simon realises that the inevitable publicity would do the ratings no harm. "Plans seem to be in the air as the fourth judge on the panel hasn't been confirmed, let alone the guest mentors. Simon, Cheryl and longstanding coach Louis Walsh will be returning for the eleventh series of the show.

Just last month Cheryl — who was previously a judge alongside Simon between 2008 and 2010 — announced that she would be making her return after Simon "begged" her to come back.
The music mogul famously axed the Newcastle-born beauty from the American version of the talent competition in 2011, when it was thought that US audiences would not be able to understand her thick Northern accent.

Previous reports have claimed that now that Simon has Cheryl back on board, he's doing everything he can to please her, which includes letting her have a say in who the fourth judge will be.
It seems the small-screen star wants to get her own back and show Simon that she can win the competition with one of her acts. "Cheryl is desperate to win this year," the insider added. "She feels like she has something to prove to Simon and the British public."

"Cheryl is no doubt thinking that if she swings it for Kim, then Kim will probably repay her by endorsing one of her acts," the source said. "And as the famous duet between 2008 winner Alexandra Burke and Beyoncé proved, the backing of a big star can make all the difference with viewers."

Glamorous girls Cheryl and Kim have been friends for a while and have been spotted partying together in the past. The Call My Name singer has also struck up a close bond with Kim's little sister Khloé Kardashian, who has previously said that her "Woman Crush Wednesday" is Cheryl. "My #WCW is miss @ladyccole," wrote Khloé on her Instagram page. "Sometimes you meet people and you click instantly. Her beauty is more than skin deep... I love this lady's spirit."
