Mel B is the fourth X Factor judge. The Spice Girl will be sitting on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh, having signed a deal worth a reported £1million.
After weeks of speculation, Mel's position on the panel will finally be announced on Wednesday morning.
Mel B will be announced as the new X Factor judge
Mel was a front-runner for the role from the start - and it won't be long before she gets stuck into her new job. According to the Sun, she will be on the panel when The X Factor auditions get underway in Manchester on Monday.
"Mel B was Simon's number one choice for the final place on the panel, he was really impressed when they met up and he likes her style and what she was saying she can bring to the show in their meeting," a show insider told the Mirror.
Mel B has been a guest X Factor judge in the past
"She is certainly not a shrinking violet and will say exactly what she thinks. She will stir things and be up for a laugh which is important.
"Cheryl knows Mel a little and whilst they are not best friends they are very different and she also believes Mel will work well on the panel. Mel was Simon's choice but he did ask Cheryl's opinion and they both think she is a good choice."
Mel certainly has the experience to step into the high-profile role. She previously impressed when she filled in as a guest judge on The X Factor a few years ago, and has since featured as a judge on The Voice Australia and is also currently a judge on America's Got Talent.
