Newly-engaged Sofia Vergara hit the red carpet at the SAG Awards on Sunday evening with her handsome new fiancé Joe Manganiello by her side. The photogenic pair made their debut together as an engaged couple after a romantic Christmas proposal – and all eyes were on Sofia’s beautiful engagement ring. The Modern Family actress, 42, looked stunning in a floor-length red Donna Karen Atelier one-shoulder gown that showed off her famous curves, but it was her huge new sparkler that stole the show.
© Photo: Getty Images"It's all about the bling-bling, so he knew what I needed," Sofia joked to Access Hollywood at the event, before admitting she would have accepted Joe's proposal, regardless of the ring's size. "I opened it up and I checked to see it," she quipped. "He's so handsome that it would have been ok, you know? I would have said, 'Ok, yeah!'" The star also revealed that the couple hope to tie the knot later this year, once their busy work schedules ease off.
© Photo: Getty Images"We're trying to figure it out because he's shooting and promoting Magic Mike this summer and I'm promoting my movie with Reese Witherspoon and so we're kinda busy, but we're trying to do it maybe (in the) fall," she said. "Summer is going to be too crazy." One thing the happy couple have started work on is the guest list. "It's big," Sofia admitted. "We started, like, 'It's only 20'. Yeah right! It's like now there's pages and pages!" True Blood star Joe, 38, and Sofia got engaged on Christmas Day after a whirlwind six month romance. This will be the first marriage for Joe, and the second for Sofia, who has a 22-year-old son Manolo.
