Happy birthday, Elijah Wood! As the Lord of the Rings actor celebrates turning 34, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Elijah and you… This is what Elijah, who is an Aquarius, can be expecting today: The late great Spike Milligan is reputed to have said, 'money can't buy you friends but you do get a better class of enemy.' It is true that you can tell a lot about a person by establishing who their enemies are. And if someone claims to have no enemies? Perhaps they have no friends, either. You have choice, today, over whether you see a situation as a threat or an individual as an adversary. You also have the power to choose whether or not you feel intimidated. No amount of money makes a difference to that power. Click here to read your horoscope

Elijah Wood is best known for his part as Hobbit Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings

American star Elijah Wood first found fame as a young actor, winning acclaim in films such as North, The Good Son, and Flipper.

By the late 1990s he had taken on teenage roles in horror film The Faculty and Deep Impact, but it was in 1999 that Elijah's life changed.

After discovering that Peter Jackson was working on an adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, one of Elijah's favourite novels, the actor sent an audition tape to Peter, dressed as Frodo Baggins, the role Elijah wanted. His determination paid off, and by October 1999 Elijah was filming in New Zealand along with Ian McKellen and Viggo Mortensen.

Elijah dedicated the next few years to the trilogy, which would go on to win over 17 Oscars and become the highest-grossing film series of all time.

Following the success of the films, Elijah has gone on to work in smaller productions, including the critically acclaimed Green Street, and Everything Is Illuminated.

In 2005 Elijah opened his own record label, Simian Records, and is now a well-known DJ and producer.

The 34-year-old has supported a number of charitable campaigns, including Keep a Child Alive and YouthAIDS, and in 2010 he visited many of the victims who were hit by Chile's largest earthquake ever in 2010.
