As the red carpet is rolled out for this Sunday's Oscars, HELLO! Online readers have cast their predictions for who they think should win at this year's awards. Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore were the resounding victors for Best Actor and Best Actress, while readers felt Keira Knightley and Robert Duvall should be commended for their supporting roles.

As we counted the votes for Actor in a Leading Role, it was clear that Brit star Eddie had won over our readers' hearts for his stellar performance in The Theory of Everything.

The former Etonian, who picked up the BAFTAs Leading Actor gong earlier this month, scooped 44 per cent of our vote, beating fellow contenders Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton, Bradley Cooper and Steve Carell.

Eddie, 33, played Stephen Hawking to perfection to the point that the physicist himself, who suffers from motor neuron disease, admitted: "I thought Eddie Redmayne portrayed me very well. At times I thought he was me."

Benedict ranked second in our vote, gaining 25 per cent for his role as Cambridge maths whizz Alan Turing in The Imitation Game.

Rounding up the scores for Actress in a Leading Role, Julianne Moore pipped Rosamund Pike, Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones and Marion Cotillard to the post.

Julianne, who went home with a BAFTAs and Golden Globes award for her role in Still Alice, won 39 per cent of our vote. The red-haired actress plays a linguistics professor coming to terms with early-onset Alzheimer's.

Gone Girl protagonist Rosamund Pike followed with 20 per cent of the vote, while Eddie's co-star Felicity Jones crept up behind with 16 per cent.

J.K. Simmons, who actually won the BAFTA for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, finished last in our readers' vote.

Similarly Patricia Arquette, who was crowned Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the BAFTAs, lost out to Keira Knightley in our vote. Readers gave pregnant star Keira 38 per cent of our Supporting Actress vote for her role in The Imitation Game, followed by Into The Woods star Meryl Streep with 24 per cent.
