It has been eight years since Mr Bean last graced our screens, but the much-loved character is set to return with a one-off show for Comic Relief. Rowan Atkinson will be joined by actors Ben Miller and Rebecca Front for the sketch which will feature "twists, turns and complications".
The comedy short sees Mr Bean attend the funeral of a friend, and true to his controversial humour, the character pushes the boundaries by posing for a selfie in front of the coffin before leaning over it to double check the deceased is actually dead.
"Mr Bean attends a funeral in this sketch so I don't think we should expect to see any kind of decorum, reverence or appropriate behaviour," explained Ben.
© Photo: BBC"The best thing about filming this sketch was the fact we were all doing it for Comic Relief. It was such great fun and everyone was there because they truly wanted to be there.
"Everyone loves Mr Bean and we were all delighted to watch the master at work while hopefully encouraging more people to join in and donate on Red Nose Day."
Meanwhile Rebecca said that the "true beauty" of Mr Bean is that you know something will go wrong.

The comedy short was directed by Richard Curtis, who has created films including Notting Hill, Bridget Jones' Diary and Love Actually, as well as the original Bean movies.
It will air on BBC One as part of Comic Relief on Friday 13 March. Other highlights that viewers can look forward to include a one-off James Bond sketch starring Daniel Craig and Dawn French reprising her role as Geraldine Archer in a special mini episode of The Vicar of Dibley.
