Happy birthday, Channing Tatum! As the Magic Mike actor celebrates turning 35, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Channing, and you…

This is what Channing, who is a Taurus, can be expecting today:

Do the people who have the strongest personalities inevitably end up being the ones who get what they want? That depends on what we mean by 'strongest' and there is another implication to be questioned here. Is 'to get what you want' really quite as desirable an outcome as it may superficially sound? What if you really don't know what you want? Or you do, but it turns out that you are wanting the wrong thing for the wrong reason. How much good is that going to do you? Better, this week, to be weaker and wiser.

Channing Tatum was born in Alabama but grew up in neighbouring Mississippi. He was heavily into sports, including American football, track and martial arts, and attended college on a football scholarship before dropping out.

On his return home he was soon cast in the Ricky Martin video for She Bangs. He later used his contacts to further his modelling career, and before long, began an acting career.

Channing's breakthrough came in 2006 with the high-energy dance film Step Up. He went on to star in various action dramas, including Stop-Loss and G.I. Joe: the Rise of Cobra, before entering the world of romcoms with the 2010 weepy Dear John.

2012 was a banner year for Channing, with the release of several high profile critical successes, including the comedy remake 21 Jump Street, and his biggest film hit to date, Magic Mike. Also starring Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer, the film was released in 2012 and was based on Channing's own experience as a stripper in Miami.

A sequel to Magic Mike was confirmed in 2013, with the title set to be Magic Mike XXL. Speaking of the film, Channing said: "We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger."

In 2014, Channing finally saw his career take a more serious turn as he won accolades for his performance as Mark Schultz in the Oscar-nominated Foxcatcher alongside Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.

In 2009 Channing married Jenna Dewan, his co-star on the set of the dance film Step Up. Channing and Jenna's daughter Everly was born in London in May 2013.
