After months of speculation, it seems the voice behind the next James Bond theme song has been revealed. Ellie Goulding has dropped a big hint that she is singing the lead track for the upcoming movie Spectre, posting a photo of herself leaving Abbey Road Studios – where Adele recorded the previous Bond movie Skyfall's soundtrack. The caption reads "That's a wrap," which many suspect is a reference to her finishing the 007 song.Ellie has been linked to the theme track for some time now; it began when her friend Sam Smith denied reports that he was singing the song, and instead suggested 28-year-old Ellie had been chosen. Then, just a few weeks ago, the Love Me Like You Do singer tweeted "Live and let die," the title of the 1973 Bond film, starring Roger Moore.

It seems bookmakers also think Ellie is the odds-on favourite, with a spokesman for Betfair telling the Mirror that an "overwhelming number" of bets had forced them to suspend the betting on the pop star singing the theme tune. However, earlier this month, Spectre director Sam Mendes revealed that the theme song had already been recorded – some have questioned whether that means another artist is in fact behind the track, while others have suggested Ellie was simply doing retakes for the song at the studio this week.
