A new royal-themed TV show is coming to ITV, with Fern Britton at the helm. The presenter will host Britain's first ever panel show about the monarchy, A Right Royal Quiz, which takes an affectionate look at the royals and the country's obsession with them. Two royal-loving celebrity teams will be pitted against each other to discover what they know about the institution. What does Prince Philip call the Queen, which game are the Windsors banned from playing at home and who in the royal family can breakdance? These are just some of the questions celebrities could be asked across a series of fun and entertaining rounds. Expect some royal surprises along the way too.

Rules the royal family have to follow

Helping the teams will be a handful of royal experts, including former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, and some self-confessed royal fans. So get out your flags, practice God Save the Queen and prepare for the ultimate right royal knees up! Fern, 60, said: "Think you know all about our Queen and her family? Well join us for A Right Royal Quiz and test your knowledge in this fun and affectionate game show for all the family." Asif Zubairy, who commissioned the show for ITV, added: "In these turbulent times, the one constant we have is the royal family – we've grown up with them. A Right Royal Quiz will test our knowledge and memory of Britain's best-loved family."

No air date has been provided yet, but fans will no doubt look forward to seeing the loveable presenter on screens. Earlier this year, Fern made her return to This Morning, the show she used to co-host with Phillip Schofield. Fern presented the daytime TV show from 1999 to 2009, quitting after ten years to pursue other projects. In April, she made her return as a guest this time, chatting to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about her show Fern Britton's Holy Land Journey. During the episode, she also tried her hand at cooking with the show's resident chef Phil Vickery, her husband.
