It has been confirmed that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie will both present awards at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday night. The two actresses, along with Helen Mirren and Emma Stone, were the final presenters to be named by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association ahead of the highly-anticipated ceremony. Jennifer and Angelina, who share a mutual ex in Brad Pitt, rarely attend the same events; their last joint appearance was at the Critics' Choice Awards in 2015. But their attendance at the Globes seems to further reinforce the ceremony's focus this year on female empowerment and solidarity, following the success of the #MeToo and Time's Up movements.

Both ladies have publicly advocated for women's rights. Jennifer, 48, recently donated $500,000 in support of the Time's Up campaign, which helps to provide assistance to men and women who have been the victims of sexual misconduct in the workplace.

Angelina, meanwhile, was among the actresses who spoke out against disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. The 42-year-old told The New York Times: "I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did. This behaviour towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable."

As previously reported, the Time's Up movements is encouraging female actresses to wear black to the Globes this year as a show of solidarity. An insider told Us Weekly that "pretty much all the nominated women and others attending are participating". Speaking to the New York Times earlier this week, Eva Longoria explained: "This is a moment of solidarity, not a fashion moment. For years we’ve sold these awards show as women, with our gowns and colours and our beautiful faces and our glamour. This time the industry can't expect us to go up and twirl around. That's not what this moment is about."
