An outspoken atheist, Ricky’s support came after Russell had to defend his latest film, the biblical story Noah. Based on the story of Noah and the ark, the film, directed by Darren Aronofsky, also stars Emma Watson and Logan Lerman.

Russell plays the titular Noah who believes he has had a vision of an apocalyptic flood and builds an ark to save his family. Speaking to Good Morning America, this week, Russell said: "We've had probably over a year now of very harsh criticism from a bunch of people who have put their name and stamp on an opinion that's not even based on the movie or seeing the movie."

The Office star Ricky then sent Russell the cheeky message on the social network site which Russell later retweeted to his 1.42million followers. The stars of the new film are currently promoting it around the world, and Harry Potter star Emma Watson has been proving herself the fashionista with a host of glamorous and stylist outfits.
