From edgy to understated cool, London Fashion Week has never felt more British.
Vivienne Westwood kicked off with a real explosion of colour where fully painted faces were no less bold than the clothes. From pea-green to bright blues, these weren't quite the typical glowing bases of models strutting the catwalk.
In keeping with this year's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Toni & Guy also fixed the models with wildly permed wigs reportedly inspired by Queen Elizabeth II.
Not all artists were as extreme as the eccentric British designer. The catwalks of Nicole Fahri, Alice Temperley and Erdem were immersed in pastel powders and sleek locks that carried elegance into the balance of this weird and wonderful week of fashion.
