Sleek and sophisticated, the models of Carolina Herrera were the epitome of class on the catwalks of the Big Apple.
In tune with the crisp shirts and soft silks of the American designer, super-straight cuts of glossy hair matched the level of immaculate elegance the brand is renowned for.

The man behind the beauty is Orlando Pita, hairstylist to the stars and a genius at creating signature styles so sought after on the runway.
For this project, Orlando concentrated on forming a fixed structure in the centre of the head whilst allowing the rest of the hair to flow naturally for a strong but feminine feel.
He declares Carolina's look as a "hairstyle for women today. A woman who's sure of herself, a woman with confidence…Moreover, it's easy and quick to do."
Taking the golden techniques from Orlo Salon where he is based, Orlando gives us a step-by-step guide using products by Morrocanoil:
1) Apply the new Volumizing Foam, Morrocanoil and straighten hair with a round brush, directing it sideways and backwards to create volume. Then sprinkle with Luminous Lacquer to secure strength to the roots of each section.
2) To create the desired effect on top, gradually begin taking small sections of hair from the crown. Again, secure with lacquer starting with the section closest to the crown, and spray about 2 cm from the root. Continue for each section, increasing the distance when fixing the rest of the hair.
3) After shaping, straighten the hair and set with a strong hold hairspray, leaving hair shiny but residue free.
4) For a flawless finish spray Moroccanoil's Frizz Control at the top of the crown, which will keep fly-aways well at bay.
