It was the sixth year that the hair stylist and his team have been working with the BAFTAs. “I can’t believe it,” said Charles. “It’s an amazing showcase for hair and the products we’re using to create fabulous hair.”
The hairstylist to the stars also predicted what key trends we would see this red carpet season, which will end with the Academy Awards on March 2. “Volume, volume, volume,” he said. “Whether hair up, or hair down.”

“That’s what I love about [the red carpet season], it’s an amazing platform for a makeover,” said Charles. “The right product, the right hair type and styling tools mean that everybody can have that little bit of glamour in their life.”
Les Misérables star Samantha Barks, who presented the Best Short Film Award at the BAFTAs, chose Charles Worthington to style her hair for the prestigious ceremony.
“The dress makes me feel a bit like a princess,” she said. “So I wanted my hair up and a bit regal.”
“She’s an amazing muse,” said Charles. “We kept the hair quite relaxed and uncomplicated, but still dressed up.”
