Charlize Theron's hairstylist reveals how to get that natural look

08 JUNE 2012

Charlize Theron is one of the most sought after actresses of the moment, currently on a worldwide promotional tour for Snow White And The Legend Of The Hunter and Prometheus.

But she still finds time to look gorgeous on the red carpet. And in her latest appearance, Charlize stepped out at the MTV Movie Awards wearing a crimson dress by Lanvin, sandals from Jimmy Choo and Cartier Jewels.

The statuesque blonde looked absolutely stunning and topped off her look with her casual and very sexy hairstyle, created by celebrity stylist Enzo Angileri.

Enzo tells us that although a style is simple, it also holds its own secrets. Here he shares his expertise advice on how your hair can shine like a real star.

"Sometimes, a simple look is very powerful," he said, "but when you go simple, you need your hairstyle to be impressive - luxurious, soft and shiny.

“When you put your hair up or in a more complicated look, you can hide the quality of the hair. In a loose hairstyle like this, the texture, the brightness and the naturalness of each hair is important because in the spotlight, you see everything.

“To ensure that Charlize's hair shone brightly and flowed freely with her every movement, I used the Moroccanoil Treatment Light, Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.”

How to achieve the look:

1."The Moroccanoil Treatment Light was the base in order to achieve natural movement and flow of Charlize’s hair. I applied it and then added a small amount of moisturizer because we started to work with Charlize's natural waves. I used this combination to instantly enhance the quality of the hair and give it an incredible shine.”

2. "Afterwards I dried the hair smoothing it out with two round brushes, one medium-size to give it more volume at the root and a larger one for the tips.”

3."When the hair was almost dry, I used the same medium brush and hairspray on the sections closest to the root to lift and secure the hairstyle without losing its fresh and natural look.”
