The Kardashian sisters have revealed the secret to their luscious locks and glowing skin – natural oils.
"I'm now a huge fan of coconut oil, avocado oil and argan oil from Morocco," said Khloé. "I use them on my hair and skin and even cook with coconut oil."
Perhaps Khloé's coconut oil consumption has helped with her recent weight loss – taken internally, it is considered by many nutritionists to be the healthiest of all dietary oils and has been shown to help balance cholesterol levels, improve digestion and stimulate the metabolism.
Khloé is likely to have picked up the tip from older sisters Kim and Kourtney, who are both big fans of coconut oil.
Kourtney once revealed that she includes quality virgin coconut oil as part of a once-a-month hair mask to keep her locks shiny. The recipe is said to include avocado, mayonnaise, egg, olive oil, castor oil and coconut oil.
Another A-lister who is known to be a fan of coconut oil is Miranda Kerr, who adds it to green tea for its fat-burning properties and pours it over salads as a dressing.
Dubbed nature's own anti-ageing moisturiser, coconut oil is said to help boost the shine and strength of your hair while toning the scalp and treating dandruff. It is even said to encourage healthy hair growth.
Expert nutritionist Ricky Hay, who is an ambassador for coconut oil brand Fushi, says, "Coconut oil can be used both externally or internally – it's anti-microbial, anti-viral and anti-bacterical while being fantastic for healthy hair, skin and nails.
"Recent research indicates that coconut oil can also assist with weight management and fat loss It truly is a nutritional wonder oil that everyone should include in their diet."
