Michelle Keegan has joked that her hair looked like dreadlocks during her appearance on Good Morning Britain on Monday. The HELLO! Online blogger had to skip hair and make-up before her interview on the ITV show after arriving late due to delays caused by the tube strike.

And while she managed to put on a quick slick of lip gloss and powder, she didn't have time to get her hair done before going on air.

Speaking about the incident during an appearance on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 show on Wednesday, Michelle explained: "I arrived with literally two minutes before I was due on set because of the traffic. I thought, 'I'm here to do a job, I'm ready' so I was walking and talking and someone was powdering me, putting a lip gloss on."

However her normally glossy brunette locks hadn't been brushed for two days.

"Honestly, I didn't brush my hair for two days," Michelle confessed. "My friends were like, 'It looks like you've got dreadlocks.'"

The Our Girl star also made light of her uncharacteristically dishevelled appearance by joking that she was trying to look like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean following rumours that she is in discussions for a role in the next film.

"I don't want to shut those rumours down," she said. "I want to be in it. That would be very, very good, so if anyone's listening - Johnny Depp, are you listening? It's like I was pretending I was already in it, the other day!"

Michelle admitted on Monday that her journey into central London for her early morning TV appearance hadn't gone entirely to plan after she got caught in traffic.

Of course, ever the professional, Michelle didn't let her lack of prep time affect her mood. And as Piers Morgan quizzed her on whether she and husband Mark Wright were starting a family any time soon, the actress was happy to speak candidly about the status of her broodiness!

"At the moment, I would say they are down," she said, about her desires to have children. Not that she sees it seeing that way for long. "I don’t want babies just yet, but in the future," she admitted.
