Ever the social media maven, the 24-year-old star took to Instagram to share a shot of two Polaroid-style photographs pinned to a wall: one forward-facing snap and one side-on. In the picture, the singer’s statement crop appears to be wet, presumably having just been chopped. Loose strands fall freely onto her face, framing her elfin features.

The dark haired beauty’s pared-back beauty look – a soft and oh-so-feline flick of liner and a nude, matte lip - allow her blunt cut to really sing. Dressed in a white, fluffy bathrobe slung nonchalantly off one shoulder, Selena looks polished and timeless.

In March the 24-year-old caused a frenzy on social media when she posted a photograph showing her sporting an ultra-sleek lob – a departure from the glossy, tumbling waves she’s famed for. In recent years Selena has rocked myriad wow-inducing hair looks, from ethereal braided styles and high ponytails to sleek red carpet-ready chignons.

Perhaps the actress and singer has chosen a new ‘do as a means of celebrating a fresh, new chapter in her life. In January she and Canadian R&B sensation Abel Tesfaye, more commonly known as The Weeknd, went public with their romance. Earlier this month The Weeknd took to Instagram to post a dimly-lit shot of Selena kissing him tenderly on the cheek – his first social media snap of him and Selena together.
