Nell McAndrew has lent her name and body to cancer research, baring all for charity. Along with 30 other women, who've all been touched by cancer, Nell launched Cancer Research UK's Race For Life 2008 with a warm-up session with a difference – everyone was naked.
The event was to draw attention to the fact that all women in the UK are invited to take part in the female-only races, which are backed by Nell whose father was diagnosed with non Hodgkin's lymphoma three years ago.
Nell stripped off in London's Regents Park, her modesty covered by body painted running numbers and commemorative signs, to take prospective competitors through their paces for the Race For Life. The event, which takes place from May until the end of July, is the largest women-only fundraiser in Britain.
All supporters have to do is walk, jog or run 5km at one of the over 260 events being organised, which the charity hopes will unite 750,000 women to raise more than £50m for research.
