The Take That star took to Instagram to share a photo taken mid-yoga session – and, unsurprisingly, the topless snapshot caused a stir amongst his followers, who were quick to comment on Gary's muscular physique. "I'm in love," one fan wrote alongside the black-and-white picture, while another added: "All I can say is… WOW!" A third joked: "I spat my tea out when I saw this picture Captain!"

Gary Barlow posed for a photo mid-yoga session - much to the delight of his fans

The talented musician is currently in the middle of Take That's Wonderland tour. But it's clear he is sticking to healthy living while on the road. On Sunday, he shared a photo of a lunchtime smoothie made for him by bandmate Howard Donald, listing the ingredients as avocado, almond milk, maca, lucuma, octane oil, hemp, collagen, mushroom powder, acai, msm powder and cinnamon. That post received a more mixed reaction from fans; "Sounds delicious and healthy. No wonder you look so well!" one wrote, while another commented: "Sounds vile!!"

The Take That star sticks to healthy eating and regular exercise to maintain his physique

In recent years, Gary, 46, has undergone a dramatic transformation. In 1999 he weighed 17 stone - and made the decision to turn his life around. "I've made big changes," he previously told The Mirror. "I take exercise more seriously now and I'm big on well-being. I eat well, do an acupuncture session a week and I try to sleep well and do things to aid good sleep." He added: "I don't eat sugar, I don't eat fried foods and I stay away from McDonalds and chips, and things like that. For years, I did every diet going - Atkins, the works - and I couldn't work out why I couldn't sustain the weight loss."
