Jude Law expecting a baby girl

Share this:

Jude Law is expecting a baby girl, according to photographs of his former partner Catherine Harding's baby shower held at the weekend. Catherine, who is around eight-months pregnant with Jude's fifth child, showed off her burgeoning baby bump in photographs of her pink-themed "belly party" on Twitter. The snaps show the aspiring singer/songwriter in a dusty pink maternity dress as she poses happily with friends. But the real give-away as to the gender of the duo’s future child came with the tiered pink cake, which was decorated with a pair of pink shoes and the message: "It's a girl!".

Another shot on Twitter was captioned with: "Love these girlies and the rest :) thankyou for such a lovely weekend xx." Jude recently spoke about his joy at becoming a father again – the 42-year-old has three children with his ex-wife Sadie Frost; Rafferty, 18, Iris, 14, and Rudy, 12, is step-father to Sadie's 24-year-old son Finlay, and has a five-year-old daughter called Sophia with model Samantha Burke. "Looking back, I can't believe I'm still working and maintaining my position. But I'm a happy man these days. Four children, another on the way," the handsome actor told Page Six.

The proud father went on to describe his children as his "bedrock". "My 18-year-old's in the business. My 24-year-old, a gifted musician on piano and guitar, studies music in college. They're my bedrock." Jude's son Rafferty is now working as a model and the Black Sea actor sat front row as the 18-year-old made his catwalk debut for DKNY Men during London Collections: Men in June. Jude and Catherine, also known by her stage name Cat Cavelli, announced their happy news via a statement in October. "I can confirm that Jude Law and Catherine Harding are expecting a child together in the spring", read the statement which was released by Jude's representative. "Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child. They consider this a private matter and other than this confirmation no statement will be made. I ask that you respect the privacy of all parties involved and their families."
