Kim Sears has been seen for the first time since welcoming her daughter Sophia in February. The new mum looked happy and relaxed as she took her baby girl for a stroll near her home on Thursday.

Wrapped up against the cold in a coat and tartan scarf, Kim is seen pushing her iCandy Peach stroller, whilst smiling down at her baby girl while clutching a coffee cup in her hand. No doubt she was happy to get out and about with the newborn while her husband Andy Murray is away from the family while training for the Miami Open in Florida.

Andy has previously hinted that fans may get their first glimpse at Sophia during the tournament, as Kim plans to travel to the sunny state with their daughter to support him in the competition.

"Babies are pretty portable at this age I think," said Andy. "She's going to come to Miami and see how that goes. We'll just play it by ear a little bit and see how well that works out. It's not really up to me. It's up to Kim as well, how much she would like to travel.

"Kim only really comes to maybe five tournaments during the year so maybe she'll come to two or three more, but I don't see us travelling as a family all the time because Kim doesn't love just being there to watch tennis all of the time either."

The question of whether baby Sophia will make an appearance courtside with her stylish mum remains unanswered, but fans will no doubt be hoping to catch a glimpse of the mother-daughter duo Stateside.

Andy, who said that his daughter has been "sleeping very well the first few weeks", also hinted that he and Kim wouldn't employ a nanny, contrary to what their friends and other tennis stars have advised.

"A lot of them have said: 'Get a nanny," said Andy. "But I think everyone has said it's one of those things that the more effort you put in, the more rewarding it is.

"You get so much back out of it, so give as much time as you can, enjoy every minute – because, even though at the beginning it can be challenging with sleep and whatnot, you'll miss it when it's not there. It's a nice stage to look back on, to enjoy every minute of being a parent. I've been trying to."
