Alex Jones has shown off her beautiful baby bump, shortly before revealing she can already feel her baby "somersault".

The mum-to-be was pictured on the set of The One Show, getting ready for her presenting duties and looking down at her tummy.

She dressed her neat bump in a yellow blouse and black jeans and sported that healthy pregnancy glow.

It was the first time most viewers had seen Alex's bump clearly. The Welsh TV star, who presents the weeknight show with Matt Baker, had celebrity guests Mel C, Anne Robinson and Rick Stein on Wednesday night's programme.

After her hosting duties Alex, 39, took to Twitter to reveal: "Sitting quietly at home with tea and a piece of toast feeling baby somersault. #heaven."

Her pregnancy update had fans excited. One follower commented, "God I miss that feeling so much! It's a lovely time, enjoy every moment" while another posted: "Arrr I used to love that feeling, hard to describe how close you get to your baby as they are growing inside you x."

The TV star married Charlie Thomson last year

This will be the first child for Alex and her husband Charlie Thomson. The couple announced their baby news a month ago, with Alex writing on Instagram: "Charlie and I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a little baby in the New Year. Absolutely delighted and feel very lucky that we're about to become parents. #andbreatheout #newbabyalert."

The baby could arrive around the same time as Alex and Charlie's first wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve last year, in a wedding exclusively covered by HELLO! magazine.

Alex announced her pregnancy last month

Shortly after, Alex completed a documentary about fertility, which prompted her to reveal her worries that she had left it too late to have children.

"Safer sex is important but so is learning about fertility otherwise you end up where I am now saying: 'Oh egg freezing, I don't know about that,'" said Alex.
