Tamara Ecclestone has hit back at critics on Instagram with a powerful message after she posted a photo of herself breastfeeding two-year-old daughter Sophia in a glamorous photoshoot. The 32-year-old had shared the striking snap of herself at home with her adorable toddler, wearing a striking pink gown as she breastfed her little girl. Now, the star has shared a second previously unseen snap in which she is also breastfeeding Sophia, while wearing a gorgeous flowing pale green gown. In the accompanying caption, Tamara opened up about the "surprising" response she had received from online trolls, and explained that she was sharing the photos to "support and empower all mums".
"Find it a very sad and surprising sign of the times and the world we live in that the act of breast feeding your child evokes such hatred in so many bitter people," she wrote. "I am astonished that breast feeding mums get such a hard time as there is no reason why we should."

The British beauty posed for pictures with photographer Ivette Ivans. Tamara explained that breastfeeding is a personal choice, adding that she was not suggesting her choice to breastfeed was better than mothers who opt to feed their babies and toddlers with formula. "I would never ask someone when they will take away their toddlers bottle or follow on formula or cows milk or dummy or comforter," she said. "Nor do I judge those who choose to formula feed their children of give them cows milk."
"I support and empower all mums and I personally believe hatred is so heavy and bad for the soul," she said, addressing her critics. "I hope by the time Fifi is a mumma people who have chosen to be open about Their breast feeding journey will mean that seeing a picture of a mum feeding their child won't evoke any reaction and that it is seen only for what it is a mum doing her best."

Tamara also opened up about her daughter's future, and shared her hopes that Sophia won't face body shamers when she is older, especially if she herself becomes a mother. "To me there is nothing but love in this photograph and I find is such a shame that it brings out anger in some of you it's sad for you that that's how you choose to live particularly those that have made comments trying to sexualise breastfeeding are particularly unwell," she concluded. "I chose love. I want my daughter to grow up in a better world where this is nothing but normal in a better world."
The socialite had previously opened up about breastfeeding when she shared the first striking image from the shoot, describing it as a "powerful demonstration of love and nurturing". "Thank you @ivetteivens for capturing this beautiful moment," she wrote in the accompanying caption on Instagram. "This is by far my favourite photograph but mainly thank you for spreading this message. Breastfeeding is a powerful demonstration of love and nurturing yet it has become so normal to hide. I want to take that normal and toss it."
