The big announcement comes weeks after Alex became a mum for the first time. The TV star, 39, had been keeping tight-lipped about her son's name, but she did admit that she and Charlie were struggling. Speaking on The One Show via a phone call, four days after giving birth, she said: "We're a bit behind on the whole name thing because we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. We thought, 'When we see him we'll know what he looks like', but actually it's really hard."

Charlie was with me and mum and dad were in the waiting room." Of parenthood, she added: "It's the most wonderful feeling. The last four days have been heaven. We're in this bubble the three of us. It's just the best time."
