Congratulations are in order for Helen Skelton and her husband Richie! The couple have welcomed their second child – a bouncing baby boy. A representative for the couple announced the happy news to HELLO! Online, saying: "Helen gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Saturday 8th April weighing six pounds – mother and baby doing well and Helen, her husband Richie Myler and now eldest son Ernie are over the moon."

The former Blue Peter star had previously revealed that her husband Richie may miss the birth of their second child. Helen and her family moved from Cheshire to Perpignan, France in 2015 for Richie's job; the professional sportsman plays for rugby league side Catalan Dragons. "Unlike the first time around, I won't have my mum nearby to help me out, so Rich and I will have to juggle things," Helen told HELLO! magazine a few weeks ago. "There's a good chance he might miss the birth because he has away games in England every other weekend, so my friends are on standby to be my birth partner if needs be. I am very grateful for that."

Helen, 33, also discussed the challenges and sacrifices she's faced since becoming a mother. "I was always one of those people who said having children wouldn't change me, but life is different once you have a child. If my friends want to meet for a drink or go to the gym after work, that's bedtime, storytime, bathtime for me. But that doesn't mean I don't want to do those things."

Last year, Helen enlisted the help of her young son Ernie to announce the exciting news that she was expecting again. In a picture posted on Instagram, little Ernie was seen laughing while holding a sign that reads: "Ready for my partner in crime, due Spring 2017." Helen captioned the photo: "Three getting set to become four. #newbaby #feelinglucky."
