Billie – who is a mum to two young children – posted a throwback photo from one of her own pregnancies, showing Ferne planting a kiss on her baby bump. Alongside the bikini snapshot, Billie wrote: "A little #throwback… I'm very proud of you today @fernemccann… And so excited for you to join the mummy club. I cannot wait to share this amazing journey with you… lots of wonderful times to come with our babies… love you lots #bestfriends."

Thursday marked Ferne's first interview since it was confirmed she is expecting a baby. The former reality star – who is 12 weeks pregnant – was in tears as she spoke to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the "stressful, surreal" recent weeks, in which she discovered she was expecting, and also saw Arthur arrested in connection with a horrific nightclub acid attack.

Ferne bravely appeared on This Morning on Thursday to talk about her pregnancy

"This isn't how I imagined my first pregnancy to be," Ferne admitted. "It's not about what happened. It is about this baby...My main… I'm going to be strong, I'm going to try and keep it together. I really don't want to cry. My main concern and priority is the baby." She later added: "I love a challenge, as you know. I think this is going to be the biggest one to date. But I'm so looking forward to it. I can't wait to meet my baby, the future for me, I'm not going to say it's going to be easy. But I'm excited and I just want to be the best possible mum I can be."
