One of two fragrances especially created to raise money for Children In Need, Hug For Her looks to conjure happy childhood memories of bath time

14 NOVEMBER 2008

BBC's Children In Need starts tonight presented by Terry Wogan, Tess Daly and Fearne Cotton and you can make it the most fragrant one yet by splashing out on the very first scents created for the fundraising extravaganza.

Coming in both his and hers varieties - Hug For Her and Hug For Him - the fragrances each cost £10 and, appropriately, have been created to evoke memories of a happy childhood.

Hug For Her is all about the familiar smells of bathtime with hints of warm towels and baby powder. Hug For Him has notes of wood shavings overlaid with the sweetness of cola, to conjure the scent of a school pencil case containing everything from pencils to sticky sweets. The bottles, coloured gold for Hug For Her and silver for Hug For Him, also come with Pudsey-inspired phone charms.

It's the first year Boots has created Pudsey products for adults to enjoy. Colette Phillips, charity marketing manager for the firm, says: "Our customers who buy a Hug fragrance to support Children In Need will relive happy memories of their childhood, whilst the donation they have made will help BBC Children In Need create brighter futures for some of today's generation of children."

A donation of £3.50 will go to the charity for every fragrance sold.
