Cameron Diaz has revealed what she really thinks of procedures such as Botox

Cameron admitted that she passes "no judgement on how people feel good", even if this includes undergoing cosmetic procedures.

"They're to help people feel a little better about themselves," she explained to the Huffington Post. "If they do feel better about themselves, then those procedures have worked. I have no problem with that. And [in] a lot of instances, it does make you look like you’ve taken a nap ... or that you might be a little younger than you looked maybe the day before."

However, the Gangs of New York actress had a word of caution for fans considering trying a treatment, pointing out that they won't stop or reverse the process of ageing.

"Ageing is a cellular event. Every bit of ageing happens in our cells," she said. "So, if you're trying to get rid of the wrinkles that are on your face because they make you look older, what you're looking at are your cells... The ageing has taken place in your cells. That means that it’s happened at the deepest part of yourself."

Cameron has been celebrating the ageing process as part of her new book The Longevity Book. Unveiling the launch with her 2.7 million Instagram followers, the blonde beauty urged her fans to embrace their age, explaining that feeling good about yourself will lead to "a long and beautiful life".
