Voice op forces Connie Fisher to cancel 'Secret Love' tour

West End star Connie Fisher has been forced to cancel her UK-wide Secret Love tour after doctors recommended she have an operation on her vocal cords.
A spokesman for the 25-year-old How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria winner confirmed: "Following consultations with vocal specialists in the US it has been decided that for Connie Fisher to have any chance to perform again a procedure on her vocal cords has to be carried out."
During her trip to the States, the Lisburn-born star was found to have a condition known as congential fusion anomalies which, surprisingly, she's had since birth. The doctor told Connie that while the problem is not uncommon, he'd never encountered it in a singer before.
Her representative added: "How Connie has ended up having a singing career has been nothing short of a miracle."
"Connie is very disappointed and upset she will not be able to do the concert tour."
The news comes as a huge blow to the flame-haired star, who was due to begin her Secret Love tour, promoting her February-released second solo album, on May 13 in Croydon.
