Five months after she shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent, and Susan Boyle mania shows no signs of letting up.
There was a rapturous reception awaiting the Scottish singing sensation in LA as touched down on her first trip to America.
A crowd of over 2,000, some holding banners and chanting: "We love Susan" had gathered to welcome the former church worker. When she saw the waiting fans, a visibly taken aback Susan gasped: "Oh my word, is this for me?"
The 48-year-old had flown first-class from the UK with an entourage of stylists and assistants.
On board she toasted her first trip outside Europe with a glass of champagne before sticking to water and lemon to preserve her voice.
And just before landing, she changed from a tracksuit into an elegant white blouse and maroon silk scarf.
It took half an hour for the singer – who will be accompanied by six bodyguards at all times – to make it to the limo which whisked her away to a five star hotel.
At one point a young girl broke through security to give her idol a hug.
Susan is in the US to perform on Wednesday's America's Got Talent final. She is expected to sing her new single, Rolling Stones cover Wild Horses, and the song which originally made her famous - I Dreamed A Dream.
Susan's team have apparently been inundated with requests from celebrities who are desperate to meet her. Her number one Twitter fans Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are expected to visit her backstage on Wednesday night.
