Ant and Dec storm the charts with Let's Get Ready To Rhumble

It's been more than 10 years since Ant and Dec bid a fond farewell to their pop careers. But incredibly the boys are heading for chart success again this week after a hilarious performance of their most famous hit Let's Get Ready To Rhumble on Saturday night.

The popular duo had TV audiences in stitches when they sang their 1994 single on their show Saturday Night Takeaway, which featured fellow 90s pop acts Five, Atomic Kitten and Blue. They pulled off all their original dance moves and raps as they belted out the track, originally released under their fictional Byker Grove TV characters PJ & Duncan.

Immediately after their performance at the end of the show, Let's Get Ready To Rhumble started to soar up the iTunes chart - and by Monday it had reached the number one spot. It now looks like it could oust The Saturdays when the official chart is announced on Easter Sunday.

"This is getting ridiculous now!," astounded Ant tweeted as the song shot up the charts over the weekend, while Dec added, "Had the weirdest dream. Dreamt me and Ant did #LetsGetReadyToRhumble live on telly… oh, hang on… that actually happened didn't it?"

When it was originally released in 1994, Let's Get Ready To Rhumble reached number nine - but it looks set to get even higher this time around. It was one of 13 top 40 hits for the TV pair between 1994 and 1997.
