Tuesday marked the fourth anniversary of Michael Jackson's sudden death. And many stars – including Marvin Humes, Britney Spears, Julio Iglesias and Michael's youngest brother Randy Jackson – paid tribute to the King of Pop, whose passing on 25 June 2009 shocked fans and musicians across the world.
Marvin Humes took to Twitter to remember the legendary pop star: "Four years ago we lost a true musical icon.. Michael Jackson will never be forgotten.. RIP MJ."
Britney Spears also showed that she had the icon in mind on his anniversary. The singer posted a picture of the two performing on stage, with Britney looking fondly at Michael.
Along with the photo, Britney, 31, wrote "My thoughts are with the Jackson family today. Honored to have shared a stage with him. Miss u Michael! <3."
Randy Jackson shared his thoughts for his older brother as well as thanks to fans for paying tribute to Michael by leaving thousands of flowers at his grave in California.
The Grammy winner and ex-member of The Jackson Five wrote: "Thinking about my brother on this day. Thank U everyone 4 your love and support and 4 the beautiful displaye of flowers at ForestLawn."
Julio Iglesias posted a picture on the microblogging site, showing the star with his hand affectionately resting on Michael's shoulder – as Michael chuckles into his gloved hand. "Four years without Michael, can't believe it! All my love", wrote the singer.
American actor and comedian Chris Tucker took a moment out of his tour to pay tribute to the legend. "Remembering my boy Michael Jackson today as I round out my world tour."
Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 after a cardiac arrest. His personal doctor Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. At the time of his death, Michael had been preparing for his This Is It series of comeback concerts in London.
Michael's legacy lives on through the This Is It concert documentary and soundtrack and the 25th-anniversary reissue of his bestselling album Bad.
He is survived by his three children, Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and Blanket, 11.
