The Derry-born beauty got her first taste of fame aged 16 when she made it through to the final of the Irish version of Popstars and joined the all-girl group Six. Although she was dropped from the lineup when producers found she was under 18, this didn't stop her quest for stardom. A year later she entered UK talent show Popstars: The Rivals and became a member of Girls Aloud. The group went on to sell millions of records and enjoy phenomenal success - breaking the record for most consecutive top ten hits in the UK singles chart by a female act. Nadine's love life has also been a high-profile affair. She split from her childhood sweetheart, footballer Neil McCafferty, in 2004 citing conflicting schedules, and went on to date Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe in 2006. Although the couple have since parted ways, they remain on good terms.
