Now an iconic face on the British small screen, Essex-born Noel Edmonds started his career in broadcasting as a teenager, landing his first job as a result of sending demo tapes to radio stations. He made the swap to TV in the Seventies, hosting Top Of the Pops, Top Gear, as well as Saturday morning children's show Multi-Coloured Swap Shop. In 1985 he began family quiz series Telly Addicts and then in 1991 he launched Saturday night TV show Noel's House Party. Set in a mansion in the fictional town of Crinkley Bottom, it ran for the next eight years and was responsible for the introduction of pink-and-yellow-spotted character Mr Blobby, who went on to have a number one single. After taking time out to concentrate on strengthening his relationship with his four daughters following his second divorce in 2004, Noel relaunched his TV career as the host of Deal Or No Deal. He went on to land presenting gigs on Are You Smarter Than A Ten Year Old? and his own live entertainment show on Sky.
