Before Surrey-born actor Oliver James broke into films, he was headed for a career in the music business. The handsome youngster was signed up by the Spice Girls' former manager, Simon Fuller, as a member of his new boy band. All that changed, though, when he won the part of Amanda Bynes' on-screen love interest in teen romance What A Girl Wants in 2003 and moved to LA to pursue an acting career. A year later he cemented his teen heart-throb credentials when he appeared opposite Hilary Duff in Raise Your Voice. Oliver, who graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in Surrey, has also appeared on the small screen in BBC law drama The Innocence Project.
