Birthday snaps show how much Mette-Marit's girl Princess Ingrid Alexandra has grown

by She may be only six years old, but little Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway is a natural in front of the camera.

The daughter of Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit is just adorable in a set of official pictures taken to mark her birthday, which fell on January 21.

And it's clear from the shots just how much the youngster, who will one day be the queen of Norway, has grown.

The photos, which show Ingrid in her ski gear and sitting demurely in a chair, were taken at the royal family's residence in Skaugum, on the outskirts of Oslo.

Ingrid Alexandra celebrated her big day with her brothers Prince Sverre Magnus and Maruis Borg Holby, her cousins, grandparents and aunt Martha Louise and uncle Ari Behn at a children's party.
